About The Principal

Hi there. I’m Blair Sutton Principal Owner and Executive Designer of Downtowne Design. My vision for this company is to help people. To help them love where they live. To help them see themselves and their lives in a new light.

In 2001, I formed Sutton & Co. Interior Design, LLC, a full service residential and commercial interior design firm. Sutton & Co. experienced explosive growth from the get go, undertaking commercial projects such as Park Devereux, The Dawson, The Paramount, The West, The Lassiter at North Hills, Ramblewood at North Hills, and The Bloomsbury. We also partnered with realtors in the community to provide successful staging models and homes.

Now with Downtowne Design, I’ve been able to parlay those early successes into an interior design shop that has a particular niche focus on the condo and loft market. It’s amazing how much we can do in so little square footage. In addition, we are quickly becoming the go-to design team for a growing trend of young professionals, couples and empty nesters seeking a more urban lifestyle.

I am a graduate of Meredith College with a B.S. honors degree in Interior Design, an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and an Associate Member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). And I never stop learning – drawing on my clients’ unique experiences and infusing them with my own evolving way of seeing the world.
