FULL SERVICE DESIGN
Downtowne Design provides custom design solutions for the full service client. Complete head-to-toe renovations of one room, two rooms, or the entire home. After a design concept is agreed upon, we begin the fun process pulling the whole thing together - from interior layout, lighting design, to furniture layout and procurement, window treatment design, and accessory choices.
THE PROCESS:
QUESTIONNAIRE AND INITIAL MEETING
- Fill out the online form.
- If you haven’t already, start collecting photos of interiors. The ones you rip out of magazines. The looks you love. The ones you don’t. Everything.
- Once we’ve received your online form, we’ll contact you in a few business days to set up an Initial Meeting (should last up to an hour). This will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss how we work, answer questions and go over a copy of the agreement.
FORMULATING YOUR DESIGN CONCEPT
Once we’ve received your signed agreement and payment, we’ll start working on your project. We’ll schedule a follow-up meeting at your home to discuss particulars--your lifestyle, preferences, priorities, time frames, and budget. After our input session, we begin composing a preliminary design concept, which we will present to you in person. We’ll work together to hone and refine the concept and end up with a working master plan.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Upon approval of the concept, the implementation begins. During this phase, walls are built, mechanical, lighting, and electrical systems are installed, finishes are applied and furniture, materials, and accessories are ordered. Our goal is to help keep your project on track and hassle-free. We will make periodic visits to your project’s site to verify that the creative vision is being followed and the job is progressing as planned.
BRINGING IT TO LIFE
Now that the hard labor is complete the fun part begins. Furnishings and accessories are placed in the home and all of the finishing touches are applied. Tah-Dah! Your place is transformed and just like that our initial vision has suddenly become reality.
THE FEES
Due to the subjective nature of design, Downtowne Design does not give firm quotes or bids. However, our years of experience enable us to estimate the time required doing various kinds of work, and do it well. And we believe that you will find us to not only be creative, but incredibly efficient, professional and fair. On each project Downtowne Design accepts, clients are charged an hourly rate. We start with an upfront, non-refundable retainer fee for the first 40 hours. Then, after the first 40 hours have been depleted, the client will be asked to pay for an additional 20 hours. One thing we can’t put a price on is the service we provide.
